Where does the money come from?

Meltek works with Utility companies such as Con Edison, Orange & Rockland and PSEG Long Island. When electricity demand is too high (almost always in the Summer), utilities pay Meltek to find people willing to lower their electricity use, and we pay you for your contribution. Otherwise, utilities would have to power up expensive and polluting energy generators.
