How can I delete my Meltek User Account?

If you're considering deleting your Meltek account, we're sorry to hear that. At Meltek, we strive to offer the best rewards and fastest pay-out rates in the industry. However, we understand that circumstances may lead you to make this decision, particularly if you're leaving your utility company's territory altogether. Before proceeding, we'd like to understand your reasons for wanting to unenroll.


Notification Preferences: If you're receiving too many text or email notifications from us, you can adjust your settings to limit these without closing your account. Simply navigate to the Profile tab in your Meltek app to manage your notification preferences.


Account Updates for Moving Users: For users moving within our service territory (Con Edison, Orange & Rockland, PSEG-Long Island), we can update your account with your new utility account number to ensure uninterrupted service.


If you still wish to delete your account with Meltek, you can follow these simple steps:


  1. Send an Email: Send us an email at help@meltek.com indicating that you want us to delete your account. Please make sure to include the following details in your email:
    • The email address associated with your account.
    • The reason for your account deletion request.
  2. Confirmation: Once we receive your email, we will send you a confirmation acknowledging your request for account deletion.
  3. Retention Period - in Season: During demand response season, if you request to delete your account, we will retain your data until your savings are calculated and settled.
  4. Retention Period - off season: During off-season, we will keep your data for 90 days in case you decide to restore your account.
  5. Data Deletion: After 90 days we will proceed to delete your account along with all associated data from our systems. Your data privacy and security are of utmost importance to us.


Important Considerations:

  • Loss of Rewards: If your account is closed, you will forfeit any rewards you may be entitled to for energy-saving events earlier in the summer.
  • Withdrawal from Refer a User Program: You will no longer have access to our refer-a-user program, wherein you (and your friend) can each earn $5 for successful enrollments.
